Are you kidding me? Mother Nature?! I had a 2pm site- specific outdoor show today planned for months, One rendition was presented on 8/26/2023. Everyone had such a good time and it was such fun that After some discussion I decided to do it again I called it an Encore performance. But this time, it would need to be a fundraiser which I'd rather call a "FUN" raiser! Anyway, It rained last night and it was raining this morning starting @ 7:25am. I started praying with great intention -"please stop raining so the show could go on after all our hard work." Would you believe that it stopped raining about 1:30pm -although a few audience members said that it was really coming down hard as they were driving to our site-specific location. THE SHOW WENT ON! it was great and the audience really enjoyed this once in a lifetime immersive theatre experience of enjoying wine, appetizers, dessert before a 2pm concert reading of a very funny play, "The Perfect Party" by A.R. Gurney. Thank you to the director, Sam Woodhouse, the Actors: Laura Ganz Holtan, James Newcomb, William Barstad,and Rhona Gold - who only had one rehearsal, but killed. i'm grateful that my son came with his new fiancee and her family and my future-in-laws. Kudos to Barbsra Shea & Christian Clark! I'm so very grateful for my neighbor, Geraldine Ryan who donated the food , wine, drink AND her HOME for our site-specific concert reading! So Kind, generous , and maganimous! Thank you Gerry! The theatre gods came through and I am so very Happy and grateful! Now I can really enjoy the rain. Good night nd sleep tight!
