T3 Triple Threat San Diego welcomes the recent decision by the City of San Diego to restore $10 million in funding to the arts and culture sector. This critical reversal ensures that our programsβand the programs of our many peer organizationsβcan continue to provide transformative creative education and performing arts opportunities to the youth of our city.
We extend our sincere gratitude to Councilmembers Kent Lee and Henry Foster for their leadership in brokering this collaborative solution, and to the Prebys Foundation for their generous philanthropic commitment. Their efforts, alongside the advocacy of County Supervisor Monica Montgomery Steppe and our dedicated community partners, demonstrate a profound recognition that the arts are not merely an amenity, but an essential component of a thriving, healthy society.
While this restoration of funding provides vital stability for the current fiscal year, we recognize that our communityβs work is only beginning. We embrace the support of our city leaders in the call for a sustainable, multi-jurisdictional approach to arts funding. We believe that by fostering a permanent partnership between local government, private philanthropy, and the business community, we can finally move past the cycle of annual budget uncertainty and ensure that San Diegoβs creative future remains vibrant and secure for generations to come.
T3 Triple Threat San Diego remains committed to our mission of empowering the next generation of performers and creative leaders. We look forward to continuing our work in partnership with the City to ensure that every student has access to the life-changing power of the arts.
