Happy World Opera Day!
At Opera À La Carte San Diego, we’re proud to be part of Southern California’s vibrant opera community! Our mission is to bring accessible, high-quality performances to audiences across the region — from our yearly fully staged productions to our monthly concerts at New Village Arts in Carlsbad, where we celebrate storytelling through music with local artists. (https://newvillagearts.org/series/opera-a-la-carte-2025/)
We’re also committed to making opera more accessible, offering community performances that are donation-based, such as recent programs at the Encinitas and 4S Ranch Libraries. We’re proud to provide more opportunities for local performers and to collaborate with wonderful arts organizations like the Mangelsen Art Gallery in La Jolla and the dance company Song in Motion.
And today, on World Opera Day, we’re thrilled to support the Masterclass (which includes 3 exceptional singers-we're excited to say who have also performed with the Opera A la Carte San Diego) at the San Diego Opera at 3 PM, led by the fabulous soprano Hailey Clark (Nedda in the upcoming I Pagliacci). https://tickets.sdopera.org/3097
Join acclaimed soprano Hailey Clark for a fascinating afternoon as she guides: mezzo-soprano Kaitlin Barron Lupton, (Guadalupe Ponti in El último sueño de Frida y Diego), baritone Christopher Walters, and soprano Parente (core chorister and frequent San Diego Opera cast member)."
Opera is alive and thriving in San Diego — and we’re honored to be part of that story.
