I am thrilled to share with you the good news I received tonight. My piece “Sunshine & Popsicles” has been juried into the Beach Party show at Ashton Gallery at Art On 30th. Thank you to juror Lisa Bebi for selecting my piece for the show. This theme is sure to make for a fun show. “Cool Blues” is my latest piece in my Jazz Series. I am having so much fun with the music theme in my artwork. I am especially enjoying the sketching process. For the painting, I wanted to have the piano be pushed back a bit while emphasizing the swoosh of movement from top left to bottom right. I think the ivory black glaze on the piano and the bright yellows on other instruments does that. The deeper canvas (2.25”) with the shades of blue really gives this piece a strong presence. DM me if these cool blues are for you. 💙🎶
