This Unique Open Studio Tour Unveils Local San Clemente Artist Workshops, Extraordinary Art and their Remarkable Makers. Build Connections that Extend Far Beyond the Tour. The Self-Guided Journey is an Educational Opportunity for Young and Old to Converse with Artists and Watch them In-Action. Learn What Inspires Them, Why They Create and Appreciate the Personal Stories Behind Each Captivating Piece. Enjoy the Gift of Art / Enhance Your Life / Grow Everyone Around You
Residency - All applicants and participating artists must be a permanent resident of San Clemente with proof of residency provided if requested. Eligibility Requirements - Participation in the Open Studios Tour is intended for Artists who are actively producing and exhibiting their work for educational and therapeutic reasons. Studio Eligibility - An Open Studios site is defined as the Artist’s regular workspace and must retain the atmosphere of art-making, with materials, equipment, works-in-progress and processes visible. Any space procured solely for the purpose of participating in the Open Studio Tour is NOT eligible. Spaces converted temporarily into a “studio” for the purpose of participating in the Open Studio Tour are NOT eligible. Retail galleries or establishments are NOT eligible for this event unless you provide a permanent space for the Artist to create on site. APPLICATION DETAILS
What is the Cost for the Open Studio Tour ?
· $20 Application Fee (yearly)
This non-refundable fee encompasses the entire 2016 year and is due at the time of your submitted application. Payments can be made online with a major credit card or by check and must be received no later than midnight, Friday, June 17, 2016.
· $60 Participation Fee (monthly)
Artists will be invoiced via email upon approval of their application. Payments are non-refundable and can me made online or by check. This fee lists you on the printed and online Tour Guide Map and provides you with an SCAE logo'd lawn sign that will be posted and removed the day of the event by an SCAE volunteer member.
· $30 Art Showcasing Fee (monthly & optional)
This non-refundable fee Showcases your Art online as a Participating Artist in the Art4Therapy website, in social media, on the printed and online event flyers and tour guide. Open Studios Tour applications are accepted online or by email only.
