Such an awesome Food Truck Friday! 🌮🍤🍕🍦☀️

Had some seriously yummy eats tonight from The Shrimp Box and Killa Kones, and both were SO good! 🤤

The shrimp and fries from The Shrimp Box were delicious, and Killa Kones definitely did not disappoint with their pizza cones! 😍

If you’re looking for some great food at the next event, definitely check these guys out! You won’t regret it! ❤️

✨ Hi and welcome to all of my new followers! ✨

I realized it’s been a while since I’ve introduced myself, so if you’re new here… hi! I’m Kelly, the artist behind Young Abstracts. 💙

I’m a retired Air Force veteran, a background investigator by day, and an artist whenever I can get paint (or resin!) on my hands. Creating art has become my creative escape and my way of bringing a little beauty and peace into everyday life.

I love experimenting with acrylic pours, texture art, and resin pieces inspired by the ocean. You’ll also find handcrafted coasters, functional art, and one-of-a-kind creations that are designed to make you smile every time you see them.

When I’m not creating, you’ll probably find me taking care of my plants, spending time with my two dogs, or dreaming up my next collection.

My goal with Young Abstracts is simple: to create artwork that helps you pause, breathe, and escape in color—even if it’s just for a moment.

I’d love to get to know you too! 💕

Tell me:
🎨 Where are you from?
🌊 What kind of art catches your eye?
💙 Have you purchased original artwork before, or are you just beginning your collection?

Thank you for being here and supporting my small business. Every like, comment, share, and purchase truly means the world to me. I can’t wait to share what’s coming next!

✨ Behind the scenes at Young Abstracts, a Young Creative Works brand! ✨

Today I discovered I already had a photo light box tucked away in my office closet. 😅 So, before handing off this custom black, white, and gray coaster set to its new owner, I decided it was the perfect opportunity to practice product photography.

These coasters were a custom commission, and once they leave my hands, they’re gone! I wanted to capture every detail—from the unique cell patterns to the glossy resin finish and cork backing—for my growing portfolio.

I’m always learning and looking for ways to present my artwork more professionally, especially as I continue building my online shop.

Which coaster is your favorite? 👇

Sometimes the last pour is the toughest… and that’s exactly why I hit record! 🎨✨

This was the final coaster in a custom six-piece set created in black, white, and light dove gray. It definitely challenged me, but that’s the beauty of acrylic pouring—every piece has its own personality, and no two are ever alike.

Watch how this coaster transformed from paint on the canvas (coaster) into a unique piece of functional art!

Which detail is your favorite—the cells, the movement, or the marble-like look?
