A worried mom from Richmond, Virginia reached out to local journalist Jon Burkett of CBS 6 to express her concerns. Her son, Jahrell Horne from Henrico, Virginia, is aboard an aircraft carrier that recently changed course to support fellow shipmates at sea in the waters near Iran. Jon Burkett is also a U.S. Navy veteran, and he's served for 5 years. Drawing from his own Navy experience, he shared a prayer for Jahrell and all the sailors serving in those waters.

Jon said, "Lord, Watch over our sailors serving on the waters near Iran. Protect them, guide their decisions, and give them courage and calm in every moment. Keep them safe in Your care and bring them home to their families in peace. Amen."

Thank you Jon for your service and for your years of incredible journalism serving the community. Let's show this mother that people across the country are praying for her son and for all the service members.
