He threw a rogue after party for Serious Business before he was even invited to. That’s just who Tatum Neill is.

Live at ABS Chicago, Corey and co-host closed out the weekend with ... co-creator of Serious Business, founder of Elevate Hair, and one of the most genuinely curious humans in this industry.

This one covers everything. Why Serious Business is less of a business conference and more of a personal development experience you didn’t know you needed. How Elevate Hair started as a little salon jam session and turned into 1300 people at Prince’s venue in Minneapolis. What Tatum learned at South by Southwest about where AI is actually headed. And why Marie Laveau... the most famous voodoo practitioner in history... was a hairdresser.

Plus his full guide to surviving New Orleans in January. Eat the gumbo at the airport. Get the D**g Phuong king cake before they sell out. And know that your first drink is a triple.

She showed up to a hair show with no connections, emailed the press team cold, and built something nobody asked for.
Live at ABS Chicago, Corey and co-host sat down with ... beauty school owner, show floor media personality, and one of the most genuine humans in this industry.
Bobbi runs Tennessee School of Beauty, a fifth generation school opened in 1934. She became partners with the family after seven years of showing up like she already owned it. She created the Tennessee Beauty Professional Awards to benefit su***de prevention and is now launching a nonprofit to get real product and real hands-on training into underfunded public school cosmetology programs.
She also brings girls from Haven House... survivors of s*x trafficking... into the school to get their hair and makeup done by students. Every time without fail the students she handpicks walk out changed.
This one went deep. And it was worth every minute.

Nobody taught you this in beauty school... and it’s costing you everything.
Anna Manukyan immigrated to the US as a political refugee at 9 years old. She quickly learned what hustle really means. Fell in love with the beauty industry working at a local salon. Signed herself up for beauty school.
Her dad’s response: “We brought you to the United States so you can cut hair? How dare you embarrass the family.”
That contrast... the dream of possibility versus the harsh reality of how the world sees this industry... lit a fire that never went out.
After decades leading professional teams, she kept watching hairdressers work into their 70s with nothing to show for it. No retirement. No plan. Just scissors and hope.
She knew her biggest impact wasn’t behind the chair. It was changing the narrative of what financial success in beauty actually looks like.
Because knowledge equals power.
Certified financial educator. Licensed fiduciary. Industry veteran. Anna founded Beautiful Wealth Academy to make sure no hairdresser ends their career with a GoFundMe.
Recorded live at the American Beauty Show in Chicago with co-host .
Sponsored by ... January 16-18, 2027, New Orleans.

No ego. No influencer requirements. Just be real and be good at what you do.
Live at ABS Chicago, Corey and co-host sat down with barbers Tyler Kelbert and Dayna Gamba , two of the newest members of the team. They break down what drew them to Depot, why the brand’s culture feels nothing like anything else in the barber space, and what the US launch looks like from the inside.
Tyler did 365 consecutive days of content. Twice. With a carry-on full of outfits at the salon every single day. And Dayna’s been quietly using her chair to give back, running a charity raffle where one lucky winner gets free haircuts for a whole year. Tickets start at $20. Every dollar goes to a family in need.
Two barbers. Two completely different ways of showing up. Both doing it right.

He got diagnosed with Stage 3 Hodgkin Lymphoma the same month he left his SVP job to go all in on his own brand.
Live at ABS Chicago, Corey and co-host sit down with Nick Stenson for one of the most honest conversations this podcast has ever had. Nick walks through the diagnosis he almost missed, the moment his doctor friend started crying in the car reading his chart, and why he’s a completely different person on the other side of it.
The line that hit hardest: “I finally knew I was going to be okay. And as long as I know I’m going to win in the end, I can fight through anything.”
This one’s not just about hair. It’s about what happens when life forces you to figure out who you actually are.

Two hairdressers walked into a hair show... and ended up changing the conversation entirely.
Live at ABS Chicago, Corey and co-host sat down with Ted Gibson and Jason Backe, and this one went everywhere. From barber school in Texas to doing Angelina Jolie’s hair in London. From a Confederate flag room in Georgia to a $2,400 haircut in New York City. From lion’s mane mushrooms to a room full of people in Palm Springs who are about to change how the beauty industry sees itself.
Ted’s line hit different: treat every client like it’s the first time you’ve seen her. Because she is a different person.
And if you want to be in the room where it’s all happening... Ted and Jason are hosting Convergence May 2-3 in Palm Springs. Professionals and consumers on the same stage. Panel discussions. Breakout rooms. A fashion show. A cocktail party. Mainstage education in haircut, color, and dressing. And a Beauty in Motion Evening Performance headlined by Ted Gibson and his artistic team.
This is not a hair show. This is what comes next.

Sheri Doss left a 30-year career at Redken, moved to Costa Rica, and spent a year flipping tacos before getting the call that brought her back.
That’s the real story of how Sheri Doss landed at Bumble and Bumble... and what she’s building there is worth paying attention to.
Corey and Katie May sit down with Sheri on this week’s Your Day Off to dig into:
* Why a third of hairdressers leave the industry every year
* How 50 hours of cutting curriculum in beauty school isn’t enough
* What Bumble’s move into Salon Centric actually means for YOU
* Why she told her artists to post what they want... not what she tells them to
* The House of Bumble, razor craft education, and what’s coming in June
One line from Sheri that stuck: “I want to help hairdressers have the very best life they can possibly have.” She’s been saying that since she was 19. Thirty-five years later, she’s still living it.
This one is worth your whole commute.

✨ Ever thought internal peace could be the real key to world peace? Here’s how a walk for peace inspired me to see peace as a personal responsibility — not just grand ideas.Drop a 🔥 if you believe peace starts within you.Recently, I followed a group of Buddhist monks walking across the U.S. — just to spread a simple message: peace is an inside job. No politics, no sermons, just a quiet reminder that if we find more inner calm, global harmony can follow naturally. It made me realize that peace isn’t about changing the world first — it’s about changing ourselves. When I think about the chaos online and in the world, I see the root in disconnection from our inner selves. Meditation, journaling, and mindfulness are small steps that build toward that middle way — a balanced life of effort and ease. So, what’s one way you can start cultivating more peace today? Maybe it’s journaling your thoughts or just taking a deep breath — one step at a time.Worth thinking about.
