I’m not a big fan of how skating has evolved and find today’s skaters just boring with horrible style and technique. But this young man actually had me watch this clip. I absolutely loved watching this. This is what’s been missing in this sport for the last 20 plus years. This sport has lost its spark altogether.

Look at the passion and how light he is on his feet. Reminds me of myself and some of my favorite retired fellow skaters back in the day.

So refreshing. Thank you!!! I hope he has a long successful career ahead.

As we are all experiencing these unimaginable events, I am finding comfort in going through old boxes that were sent to me after my grandfather’s passing. Tonight o have found a few treasures which are brining back some incredible memories. For now I will share this cross-stitched item that I created about 30 years ago. Funny how something that seemed insignificant back then can bring such joy.

I may start sharing more skating memories and treasures from my past in the coming weeks or months.
