Goodwill Note on Rule of Law, Culture, and Respect for Elders
On behalf of BIMFALB Cultural Heritage Promotion and Initiative, under the leadership of Elano Ambassador Abimbola Falayi Abolu (CEO BIMFALB), we extend this message of goodwill to our community.
The rule of law in traditional society is more than written codes — it is the living principle that binds our people together through respect, order, and cultural values. In our heritage, law is expressed through the authority of our elders, the wisdom of our kings, and the customs that guide our daily lives. It is this framework that ensures peace, unity, and continuity across generations.
When elders and kings are respected, the rule of law is upheld, and society remains strong. When they are disregarded, the law of tradition is broken, and the community risks losing its harmony. Thus, the impact of the rule of law in culture is clear: it protects our heritage, preserves our values, and ensures that our traditions remain vibrant and relevant in the modern world.
Our elders and kings are not only leaders but custodians of wisdom and guardians of identity. To honor them is to honor the law of tradition. To listen to their counsel is to strengthen unity. To protect their dignity is to showcase to the world that our culture is alive and worthy of admiration.
We therefore call on all members of the community to embrace respect, uphold peace, and protect our heritage. By doing so, we fulfill our duty to the rule of law in culture — ensuring that our society remains guided by wisdom, strengthened by unity, and enriched by tradition.
