Good morning, San Antonians and visitors to our vibrant city. Despite last night’s tough Spurs loss, it’s going to be a beautiful day, and if you’re looking for something to do, consider spending some time at our beautiful outdoor shopping oasis, The Shops at La Cantera, winner of the USA TODAY 10Best Readers' Choice Award – #1 Shopping Center in the Nation (2025).

Among the many interesting things to see, you’ll find our gallery, Doriva Local Art Source, which sells only hand-painted original paintings by local artists. We’ll have three incredible artists painting throughout the day: Al Slavin, Jose Ayala, and Joao Quiroz, all of whom are open to commission requests.

When you step into Doriva Local Art Source, you’re only seeing a glimpse of what’s possible. Alongside the incredible works on display, we have a full collection of additional pieces waiting in our backstock—artworks that haven’t even made it onto the walls yet.
Just ask our staff if you’d like to see more. We can pull extra options in person, tailored to your style, space, and taste, giving you access to more selection.
And if you want something a little more personal? Ask for a special tour—we’d be happy to walk you through the gallery and show you around.
