This October , Liz Garcia Music turns 10 years old …
10 years as an independent artist
10 years as a solo musician/ artist
10 years as a singer / songwriter/ composer
10 years on her musical journey through highs and lows
10 years - 3 albums , over 30 plus songs on the platforms , 22 are original ( yes ORIGINAL)
She’s shared the staged with some amazing mainstream artists such as Amanda Perez , Trinere , The Cover Girls , Nyasia , Stefanie Bennett , Micheal Salgado just to name a few .
Won several awards and nominations , notably won the Tejano Music Award in 2021 for Best New Female Artist, 2x Winner for SA Magazine Best Artist / Musician, just to name a few ( yes I said a few ..)
She’s done this alone , no band ( not that we haven’t looked ) her producers and myself .. that’s it .. this didn’t happen overnight.. it took time , work, sacrifice and lots of blood sweat and tears ..
so remember.. ( this is from me ) if you’re out there singing on stage .. you aren’t a track artist .. and don’t say karaoke ( sorry that’s someone who sings to someone ELSES SONGS ) you are a SOLO ARTIST and that’s what she’s been for these ten years A SOLO ARTIST .. I SAID WHAT I SAID .. I’ve done this for over 35 years now and I’ve never seen those terms use so enjoyably like I do here .. So don’t reduce someone’s craft to make yourself feel good .. it don’t work that way … she’s put that time and money like everyone else has .
