Ok - - Years ago, I was in the Altoona/State College area for business and had a full day to myself and decided I would take a drive and "get lost". I found myself in the middle of Central PA and just enjoyed the drive... from out of nowhere, this beautiful mansion appeared in the trees. Something was different about this place โ it felt different. I paused when I saw a couple cars in the driveway and thought, "Whenever am I going to be back here?!"
I parked out front and slowly walked up to the front door... I honestly was a little creeped out... I hadn't seen anyone on the roads for about an hour, and I was buried in the woods of Central PA โ leaving the feeling a bit ominous. I walked up to the front door and knocked (I took this picture and emailed it to my wife โ JUST in case I didn't make it home โ LoL ๐คฃ) Nobody answered the door and I drove away. As soon as I got back to my hotel in State College, I dove into Google and discovered that this place was the Ravenwood Manor Haunted Attraction (Hegarty Mansion) - I was in awe. The house and surrounding area was haunting and beautiful.
I only wish I had been around long enough to pay a proper visit.
