Unexpected things are beautiful.

It was unexpected for this leftover paint to stretch well since it was sitting in a cup long enough to thicken & create a thin dry film. In the end, it didn’t work. The teal dominated the canvas and pushed the other colors off the sides and dried cracked, muddied & muted.

But for a few minutes, we were eye to eye.

That’s what I get for withdrawing my attention from creating for too long. Unexpected things are beautiful because NOW I know.

First attempt at using snow cap piñata white on this black matted textured alcohol ink paper. Strange paper. Not too mad about the outcome. I’d say practice is in my future for this technique. Snow cap whites a bitch. Just want to say that. ⚪️

I was thinking of coming back to this one and playing with it some more. Maybe add a little splatter energy. Or, some gold accent and outlining. I love the colors 🪻💕✨
