The 50th Annual Car Show rolls into downtown Sallisaw on Saturday, October 10, as part of the 2026 Sallisaw Main Street Fall Festival.

We’re calling on classic car owners, custom builders, truck owners, collectors, and car clubs from across the region to bring out their best and be part of this year’s show.

Whether your pride and joy has been carefully preserved to its original glory, modified from bumper to bumper, or falls into a class all its own, there’s a place for it in Sallisaw.

This October, something special is rolling into Downtown Sallisaw.

The 2026 Fall Car Show marks its 50th Anniversary as part of the Sallisaw Main Street Fall Festival- five decades of polished chrome, careful restoration, custom craftsmanship, and the people who keep automotive passion alive.

For car owners and enthusiasts across the region, this is more than another date on the calendar.

It’s a chance to be part of a tradition that has brought together great vehicles and great people for half a century.

Sallisaw has always been a place where roads come together. And on Saturday, October 10, we want those roads to carry classics, customs, trucks, special-interest vehicles, and proud owners from every direction into the heart of our downtown.

The pots will be bubbling, the competition will be heating up, and bragging rights will be on the line at the 2026 Sallisaw Main Street Fall Festival Chili Cook-Off!

Whether your secret recipe is mild and flavorful or brings some serious heat, we want YOU in the competition on Saturday, October 10, 2026!

Enter as many categories as you’d like; just complete a separate entry form for each one and prepare at least 4 gallons of chili per category entered.

But this isn’t just about impressing the judges.

Festival guests will be purchasing $10 tester kits with bowls, spoons, napkins, voting tickets, and a drink so they can taste the competition and help choose their favorites. That means your chili gets its moment in front of a hungry downtown crowd! 🌶️🥄

🎉Make Your Cook-Off Spot Your Own
Setup begins at 9:00 a.m. at the corner of Choctaw and Oak Streets, and family-friendly decorations are encouraged. Bring your team, decorate your space, serve up your signature chili, and enjoy the friendly competition and festival atmosphere.

Chili must be ready to serve at 11:00 a.m., and the awards will be presented at approximately 2:00 p.m.

Side dishes are encouraged, too; if you’ve got the perfect companion to your championship-worthy chili, bring it along!

Come admire an incredible lineup of classic and special-interest vehicles celebrating an amazing 50 years of this Sallisaw tradition. The car show is free for spectators.

🌶️ Chili Cook-Off
Think you know great chili? Purchase a taster kit, sample the competition, and cast your vote for the People’s Choice winner! Competitors will also be battling for the Judges’ Choice award. Stick around until the winners are announced at **2:00 p.m.

🎶 Live Music at Stage Park
Enjoy live music while you explore downtown, visit vendors, catch up with neighbors, and soak up the fall festival atmosphere.

🌾 Your Voice Can Help Shape the Future of Rural Oklahoma!

What do you believe is the biggest challenge facing rural Oklahoma today?

Juliana Cueva, an Oklahoma State University Rural Renewal Scholar, is conducting important research to better understand the experiences, needs, and priorities of people living in rural communities like ours across our state.

Oklahomans age 18 and older are invited to participate in a brief, anonymous survey. It takes approximately 10–15 minutes, and the feedback collected may help guide future programs and initiatives designed to strengthen rural Oklahoma.

🎁 As a thank-you, participants may enter a drawing for a $50 Visa gift card. One winner will be selected from each geographic zone in August. Contact information submitted for the drawing will be kept completely separate from survey responses.
