We're excited to announce we're carrying Three Songs: Texts by E.E. Cummings by Douglas Fisk. Doug is composer number 43 to work through North Star to sell their individual art songs. Four years ago today, North Star Music published our first project, Modern Music for New Singers. Since that time, we have published:

• In the Shadow of Your Wings (21st century sacred songs)
• Duets & More: 21st Century Duets, Trios, and Quartets for Singers
• New Voices in Art Song (student composers competition winners)
• Twenty-Four Songs on Greek Poetry (songs of Kostas Rekleitis)

We’ve also expanded to publish almost 250 songs (more coming all the time) by living composers.

I can’t begin to express the depth of my gratitude to everyone involved in these projects.
• To our composers, your music is what drives North Star and I’m so grateful for you entrusting us to get your music out into our singing community.

• To the teachers/composers/singers who have helped me select the songs in our various books, your time, musical expertise and support has been unwavering! Thank you Valerie Trujillo, Amy Petrongelli, Katie Donner, Albert Lee, Lindsay Kesselman, Shawn Okpebholo, Scott Gendel and Sam Martin.

• Finally, North Star wouldn’t exist today without my sounding board for every decision from the very first brainstorm until today. Thank you to singer/pianist Kristin Hoffman-Peavler for encouraging me, listening to me, and pushing me to fulfill my dream of publishing outstanding American art songs by living composers.
