We are struggling to find the words today.

We are devastated by the loss of Lisa.

Lisa was Providence royalty. She was a living archive of this city’s music and art scene, documenting generations of musicians, artists, venues, and moments that otherwise would have been lost to time. She preserved the history of a community she loved deeply.

On a personal level, Lisa was so much more than a local photographer. She never missed a birthday text. She regularly checked in on us. And we all looked forward to her legendary e-cards that somehow always arrived at exactly the right moment.

We’ll especially miss her playful complaints whenever we ran out of her “boyfriend”—her beloved Jim Beam.

Providence won’t be the same without her. Neither will we.

Thank you, Lisa, for the friendship, the photographs, the memories, and for caring so deeply about all of us.

Rest easy, dear friend. You will be missed beyond words. ❤️
