Just 1 of my happy places. This will be a duster length coat & have mauve tulip edging, pockets, & a tie closure with a few buttons. I'm hoping I have enough to make a hood as well! Inspired by show " This Is Us". I had to stop for quite a while due to arthritis & whatnot, so happy to be back at this project!

Hi! As I focussed on sewing, my yarn got upset I wasn't using it 24/7. I had it in air sealed bags & 2 giant bags split. So I sorted thru all of it!! 😳!! It is now neatly organized in tote bins & I have way more than I realized. I'm going to switch my fabric to totes as well. I thought learning to sew when my hand was healing would be easy, the fabric is already made, ya just gotta put it together. Well, boy did I learn a lot. High praises to all who sew, repair machines, know all the right ways to do everything!! I will endeavor to finish the UFOs in sewing & crocheting while trying to find better outcomes for my hand. What have y'all been workin on? I'd love to see your projects or hear what you're interested in.

Yarn-Storming: TOMORROW!!!! 😁
Where & when did this tradition start? The concept of yarn "bombing" is thought to have originated in the United States in 2005 when Texan shop owner, Magda Sayeg, unhappy with the bland landscape around her, decided on a whim to knit up a doorknob cosy for her shop.
What is Yarn Storming Day?
Every second Saturday in June is International Yarn Bombing Day, however "bomb" is too negative a word. Guerilla Knitting /crocheting "Yarn-Storming" is the practice of yarn made works of art being added to public places, for example, wrapping creations around trees or bus stops. It is an artistic, nature & property friendly, sort of graffiti. Let's do it!! Anyone & everyone! Dress up Salem. Including helpful items for those in need.

Great beach bag or reusable shopping bag or even an overnight bag. It's big size & long handles easily make it a great cross-body bag for whatever you need. Sturdily made of canvas. Catywompus, just slightly, on small part of outside & inside top edge of of seam, as shown. That's how you know it's handmade, right? 1 outside pocket & 2 inside pockets, all a good size. No closures as of now but might add some sort on request. Message if interested any questions.

No filter. I finally finished the very 1st thing I started sewing! Tiny cotton squares. I'd never sewn or had a quilt lesson so this was a mess. I pushed thru tho & covered mistakes & made this lap blanket. The back & edges are flannel. This will live in the car until we see someone in need. It's definitely soft & warm & lightweight to carry.
