November marked 48 years since the Confederated Tribes of Siletz Indians regained their federal recognition. Siletz was the first Oregon Tribe to restore its sovereignty after the 1955 Western Oregon Termination Act. This time of year, the Siletz Tribe celebrates the anniversary of the 1977 Siletz Restoration Act and the strengthening of the Tribe's sovereignty. Learn more: www.ctsi.nsn.us/heritage
