I'm seeing a lot of artists celebrating World Photography Day today and wanted to join in on the appreciation!

It's a celebration of the way artists preserve moments that might otherwise pass unnoticed. Every work of art begins with the same simple act: paying attention.

Artists notice the light, the atmosphere, the emotion, the relationships, and the everyday moments that many of us walk past without a second thought.

Painted live at the 1st annual Piña Colada Fest in Palmetto FL, this Puerto Rican theme flag integrates authentic, deconstructed, hand-woven traditional pava straw hats worn by sugar cane workers sourced directly from San Juan, Puerto Rico. American-made cotton lace on the red stripes reflect European and Catholic influences and traditions. The 50 start are reimagined as 3D-printed coquí frogs embodying the intersection of island heritage, colonial histories, and dual identities within the American tapestry.
