Six mainstage productions yearly,summer productions, classes, workshops, summer camps. Adult education and youth outreach are a main focus.

I am so very sad to let you all know of the passing of John Conlon.
There will be a celebration of John’s life on Sat., Sept. 10, 2011 at 4:00pm at the St. Petersburg City Theatre - 727-866-1973. In lieu of flowers donations may be sent to the theatre.

His loss will be felt across the Arts Community. He will be so missed here at the theatre by all of us.

General information

Six Main Stage Shows providing 54 performances each year. The Academy of the St. Petersburg Little Theatre: Youth Education 7-18. The St. Petersburg City Theatre Apprentice Program is an educational program for youth aged 13-18 that has been ongoing since the 1970’s which partner’s young people with seasoned artists for mentoring in key areas of the six main stage productions running September through June. This program becomes a bridge from the Main Stage programs to the Petite Little Theatre, Pizzaz and Summer camps through the Apprentices bringing the skills learned on the Main Stage to teach to these groups. Summer Camps for ages 7-14 running June through August offering full day immersion musical theatre education which culminates in three full production shows on the main stage each summer. Petite Little Theatre for ages 8-14 is an audition to performance 6 week class that runs September through June. Petite is an outreach program offering full scholarships with no child turned away from participating. This program produces 5 shows each year on the main stage. Pizazz Song and Dance Troupe for ages 7-14 running year round. Weekly classes in voice, musical song and dance and Broadway showstopper production numbers. These young performers entertain all over the Tampa bay area.
