We're so excited to be welcoming the Sea Creature Puppet Parade back in all of its glory! Curated by artist Jeremiah Jacobs, in partnership with The Morean Center for Clay
Gather under the Arc in the FirstKIDS zone on the St. Pete Pier at 7pm to join the procession. Parade will begin at 7:15pm.
Our First Kids festivities are brought to us by the Rays and Rowdies Foundation.

So happy to be working with Deuces Live St Pete, Warehouse Arts District Association, ArtsXchange St Pete, The Factory St. Pete, Morean Center for Clay, Historic Manhattan Casino, and others on their inaugural St Pete Spring Market!!!!
Their festival takes place at various venues throughout the two districts from 3-8 pm Saturday May 7. The goal is to have people walking and biking along the trail, and along 22nd St St, shopping, eating and exploring all the area has to offer.
LocalShops1 is coordinating vendors for Atelier de SoSi, plus two of the main vendor sections: 22nd St S between 6th and 7th, and vendors behind the Arts XChange, facing the trail! We also have room for a food truck at the Morean!
The other participating venues are curating vendors for their spaces separately, and altogether there will be probably 150-200 local makers and small businesses participating!

The opening Reception of the Morean Center for Clay's Student’s Exhibition open during Second Saturday ArtWalk on March 12th. The exhibit features works produced by some of the students who have taken classes at Morean Clay, from young to young at heart! They have many students that continuously take classes year-round to enhance their knowledge of the materials and tools related to the ceramic arts. The works exhibited in this show are just a small portion of what students create within the walls of the Morean.
Also, still on view: Out of the Fire: Featuring work by presenters and participants of the recently completed Florida Heat: Wood Fire Workshop.
It all happens from 5-9pm!
This post is not only to express how much I loved working with Alena Florie and Lucas and all things surrounding their wedding day...but also to highlight the importance of hiring a good photographer (and other vendors), that resonate with your own style and personal preference.
Alena is a photographer herself so of course she knew what she was looking for...and certainly found "her person" in Regina as The Photographer. Wow, what a perfect style match for Alena & Lucas' personalities! Regina also flew up to Washington to take their engagement photos and her images all have a "wow factor" to them!! I'm sharing as many of them as I am able to because I can't stop looking at them myself!
Next and most important...I love these two because of their love for their fur child, Dexter. Dexter, so appropriately named after the TV series, is a one of a kind. Our Bride & Groom drove 3100 miles one way so that Dexter was comfortable and rested for the wedding - and he did AMAZING!! He sat at the entrance to the ceremony/reception area and quietly watched the entire ceremony...with exception to the vows, which he was clearly quite bored listening to. Otherwise, he was one of the most attentive guests throughout the wedding. He was such a good boy for the pet sitters that day also. Amazing "Dexter Wedding Video" to follow!
This wedding was so uniquely designed in everyway and an absolute match to their personalities. Event Lab Nº. 1 team was so wonderful to work and ensured a flawless experience for our Bride & Groom, guests and vendors that were there to serve. I am beyond grateful to have been a part of it! 💖

This day was a long time coming...
Alena & Lucas had originally intended to take their place at the altar, February of 2021. Thanks to our ongoing situation - it was delayed a full year...but so worth the wait!
Alena was absolutely breathtaking. Lucas obviously doesn't hop into a suit all that often as he was flooded with compliments also!
Everything and everyone was stunning.
Lucas had family in from Netherlands that made this day extra special (in addition to the many other guests that flew in for the event).
And the "other star of the show"....Dexter - the dog of honor. Our Bride & Groom drove 3100 miles one way so that Dexter was comfortable and rested for the wedding - and he did AMAZING!! He sat, he stood, he slept through the entire ceremony.
It was a touching day for everyone - me included. Nearly two years working with these two - I felt like a parent anticipating their day.
The most touching of all...the love shared between Alena & her father. Gets me every time. Dads and their girls...😭😭😭😭
Thank you both for allowing me the blessing of being a part of your day - yours was beyond special. 💖

The groin vault that we have been working on is near completion. All it needs now is a beautiful tassel at each taper. Here is Charles Dean fitting a maquette into place. I think his braided trim came out well, too!
It is amazing to think that all of this came out of our little studio at the Morean Center for Clay. We appreciate our beautiful space at the old train station. If you haven't ever been, come visit us!
