"As the first Indian feature invited to compete at Cannes in nearly three decades, Payal Kapadia’s narrative début would be notable enough; that the movie is so delicately felt and sensuously textured is cause for outright celebration." - The New Yorker

"Small in its movements and thoughtful in its observations, All We Imagine As Light is quietly resonant." - Austin Chronicle

"There are a million stories in the naked city, and Kapadia is about to show you three of them in the most delicate, moving way possible. She’s also about to mount a quiet, sneak attack on your soul." - Rolling Stone

ALL WE IMAGINE AS LIGHT • Starts Friday • Showing @ GLC for One Week Only (1/3 - 1/9)

Centering on two roommates who also work together in a city hospital — head nurse Prabha and recent hire Anu — plus their coworker, cook Parvaty, Kapadia’s film alights on moments of connection and heartache, hope and disappointment to create a soulful study of the transformative power of friendship and sisterhood, in all its complexities and richness.

"A film that uses the play of light on a screen to hint at the light we carry inside ourselves and that only the q***r know we share." - Washington Post

"The weight of it all comes down to Craig, and he’s a wonder in a fedora, dirt stains on his linen pants. Q***r is a reminder of how good an actor he is and how brave he can be -- naked, needy and noxious. You’ll be shaken and stirred." - Associated Press
