I was lucky enough to be chosen to be on The Price Is Right in the fall of 1992. It was the most surreal experience I’ve ever had. I do have the video but I’m too lazy to grab a clip. Instead, I posted a piece of the transcript from the show below and yes, I did spin the wheel (90 cents total) and yes, I did win the Showcase Showdown for a total of $25,902.00. I have so many crazy stories but all in all it was a lot of fun. RIP Bob Barker

When the temp in your studio/workshop (aka - The garage) soars past 100, AC and cold water become necessary.
Gave “Mack” a primer coat of white gesso today. In the past, I’ve only created one other Great White Shark so I’m really looking forward to bringing this killer to life…and oh, I sharpened the sh$! out of his teeth today.

At today for their 2nd Anniversary. I brought 20 or so pieces with me. If you’ve never seen them in person you really need to because my crappy photography never does them justice. I’ll be here until 5. So stop by have a beer and say hey!!
Progress! Frame is done, on to paint and resin. It’s a process for sure but my helped me get it done.

Prime time!!
No filter, just sunlight hitting the tail of a wooden snook and igniting the neon colors. Just one of 40+ fish I’ll be displaying at the craft show in downtown Stuart on March 25th and 26th.

Had this idea to create a massive 3’ x 2’ Blue Crab. Those cuts will be crazy. Somebody is crazy drunk on confidence. I’m gonna need you bad baby!! 😂
This 4’ Yellowfin is just about there. A few more details, resin and hardware will do it.
A sneak peak of new pieces in progress including: a Blackfin Tuna, a Lookdown, a Black Grouper and a Snowy. All need more work but so far….I’m happy!

Good thing I was on call when this guy swam into the ER with a busted dorsal. Surgery went well and he should be back on his fins soon.
Love bringing these sea creatures to life with a few strokes of graphite but from here, the real work begins.
So I had this “brilliant” idea…and of course I had it in the middle of a crazy rainstorm. Dear get some rest tonight because you’re about to get a serious workout!

Today, I agreed to hand out Halloween candy to all the kids coming through downtown Stuart for our annual Hobgoblin festival… To say it was hot is an understatement. I made it through thanks to my WORX portable battery operated fan. The guy to the left did not fair so well. Thank you for keeping me alive.

Finally getting back to it after a short delay and having a chunk of metal screwed into my hip. This is the first time that a tool from wasn’t used to fix something that I busted.

Finally Finished! Meet Maxwell a 7’ Sailfish headed for @gumbolimbostuartflorida in the coming days. This boy just became my favorite piece yet.
wanted to post this around Christmas but since someone had commissioned it as a gift I couldn’t. This black walnut and maple charcuterie board was designed for a member of the US Navy. I was asked to place his challenge coin in the center of the board. You”ll see that I resined it into the maple in the video. The cleats are 12” stainless steel and the board 14” x 34”. I absolutely love these woods together. As always thanks to my friends @worxtools!
