Fruity Fest is baaaack ✨🍎😈 Imbibe in some locally grown community joy with us next month at !! YES babe, you only have 30 days to get your juiciest little outfit picked out 🧃🥵 !!! Saturday, June 13 from 1-6pm!!!

Is it okay to be this loudly fa-gay-ty on META? I don't know, I don't care! The world is scary. Is it a recession indicator if half America's g**s are looking like straight people again?? My love, don't closet your colors 🌈

All artists (&organizers) at this market identify as some flavor of queer/LGBT+. Also, they're areally real people who do NOT use generative Ai and could use your support! Soooo..... If you are NOT sorry to be a fruit, or to love a fruit, or even just to support their right to be a fruit-- well c'mon down sweetness 💘

This year there's going to be more art (shock!), craftivities, mutual aid, and CIDER!
-Most artists are open to barter & trading, so bring your goodies!
- The fabulous Flo & Eeva from
will be hosting a gigantic free clothing swap
- Resident plant expert Morgan .soupy will be wandering around the propagation station, possibly sprouting a new antenna

The applications are currently and I am still looking for more artists. I am focused on Fat, BIPOC, & /or Disabled Q***r artists who could use some support, visibility, and fun 💖 If you're already on my mailing list, the application was mailed out at the beginning of May. "Thank you everyone for your kindness. I just want to add that I am financially stable, I'm sorry if I worried anyone.

I used taxes as an example of a way I wasn't treating myself right. I would want/expect any other employer to pay me a reasonable hourly wage with reasonable hours and reasonable expectations. The reality is that imposter syndrome, social media requirements, personal-professional relationship stress, and perfectionism were more damaging than any monetary situation. I didn't let myself rest. Even my few "camping weekends" included hours of laptop work.

I made plenty in table fees to pay myself a minimum wage, but I didn't. It didn't feel like I deserved that. I put free activities & their associated materials, supplies to make events more maker-accessible (extra canopies, tables, masks, earplugs), and free-low cost opportunities for artists before all else. I *don't* regret that, but I do regret treating myself in unfair ways. If I was better at ~business things~ (&budgeting), I likely still could have done everything about the same as I did, I while also being ~nicer to myself~ emotionally, physically, and financially 😅🫂

The goal has always been for the markets to have great communication, free activities, financial accessibility, and a focus on artists otherwise fuuuucked over by our system. I feel successful in all of that, and so grateful.

What I realized over 2025 was that I didn't know how to build a structure that could be sustainable long term without melting into run of the mill capitalism---" out of space

Fruity Fest (Saturday June 13th) apps will be sent to those on the ModesittMarkets sign up by Friday, May 1st. Both of the markets will have an even larger focus on free events & tabling than before. For example, the fabulous will have 2-4 canopies of free clothing to share with the community! I am unsure what the total number of artists spaces available will be, but it will likely closer to 20-30 than the typical 40-50 (between full & half canopies) typically hosted. If you have an organization, cause, or activity you'd like to table, feel free to DM or email me.

🎁 The Wrapping Room: A comfortable space with everything anyone would need to wrap presents alongside chill wintery rap, jazz, and r&b.

💌 Give & Take Room: A dedicated space for food, toys, clean clothes, books, hygiene products, etc. Bring donations to share, and take what you need~ (No used socks or underwear, please...😅)

🤝 This market is Barter & Trade friendly. When vendors & customers alike arrive, you will have the option to wear a colored wristband to indicate that you are open to bartering & trading. Vendors can still sell as regularly while using the wristband, and they have the right to turn down or negotiate any offers! 

💌 Come stamp your passport, and check out their page to learn more about other participating businesses!

Crafty Cake Decorating- Take a sweet break with ~ Decorate a variety of "treats" including herb grinders, picture frames, small mirrors, & more! Classes at 12:30pm and 4:30pm. Sliding scale $20-$50, NOTAFLOF. Cap of 10 students, sign up link in bio! 

Fiber Freaks & Friends - Knit, crochet, embroidery, oh my!? Come hang out with in a welcoming space with free resources & plenty of help~ Beginners very encouraged to join! Skill Share Space 1:45 - 3pm. No cost, donations welcome.

Witchy Winter Workshop - Brew your very own simmer pot of positivity with ! Create a  “cauldron” with a variety of uses, including cleansing and manifestation. Class at 3:15-4:15pm

Sliding scale $15-$35, NOTAFLOF. Cap of 12 students, sign up link in bio! 

Clay Pit Craftivities - Join Soren from to make a variety of seasonal goodies with air dry clay. Make an ornament they’ll treasure forever! This activity will run for the whole event in Q***rmunitys Town Hall space. Free/Pay-what-you-can, NOTAFLOF!

Hello friends! We got an update from that they have no more space for donation drop offs 😲 THANK YOU so much for your support!!

You CAN still bring donations day-of (12/20) for the Give & Take spaces + the free Wrapping Room. We will definitely be needing more giftwrapping materials 🎁 ❤️

Please DM me () if you have donation questions! Q***rmunity is the space we're hosting at, but not part of the organizing team~ Please be kind to their staff!! They're incredibly helpful and friendly, but may not have the answers to your Holig**s-specific questions 🫶

Happy December everyone, Handmade Holig**s Makers Market & Community Event is coming up fast!!!

We are seeking gently used & new goods for the Community Give & Take Space and for the Free Wrapping Room ♥️ Yes, most fundraisers only let you bring things-- But we want everyone feel they can take what they need, too! You can drop off donations beforehand, or bring them day of to the event.

Please like, comment, and share to help this post be seen. M3ta has been making it difficult to share about this event, and has been deleting posts from my drafts 😅 probably cuz it's so GAY and FULL OF LOVE!! Just like you 😉?

Hey friend! As our community grows, more hands are needed to make sure we can provide accessibility help & fun, free activities 🥳!! Every event is only possible thanks to the amazing volunteers who help along the way 💖

If you or anyone you know might be interested in helping out, there are SO many ways to get involved! Follow the 🔗 link in my bio for the Volunteer & Activity Lead Sign Up 😉

There's a new signup option, too! Volunteer-Makers are folks who are interested in helping at the event, but also would appreciate a chance to show some of their art. Volunteer-Makers generally have a shared table space, which can be watched by one volunteer while the rest help with other things 🤘
