At Sound Scape Studio we were able to help him hone his craft, track his vocals, mix & master, capture professional photos, and a create him lyric video! He's now on his journey to becoming an independent recording artist with guidance and support! He went from a bedroom singer to now a studio recording professional with clean mastered vocals.

Today, Jack GV had the opportunity to visit Johnson High School for a Q&A session with the Hmong class, sharing his journey as a Hmong-American singer/songwriter.

It was honestly inspiring and emotional to see so many young Hmong students wanting to learn more about their language, culture, and the music industry. Growing up in America, many of our youth struggle to speak or fully understand Hmong, and that disconnect is something many families quietly feel every day.

But even through that barrier, one thing still connects us — music. Our youth may not speak fluent Hmong, but they still listen to Hmong music. They still feel it. They still connect to it.

That’s why our mission is bigger than just making songs. We want to help preserve and cultivate the Hmong language through music, storytelling, and creativity — so the next generation can stay connected to who they are and where they come from.

Thank you to Johnson High School and the students for welcoming us. The future of our community is bright.

With our first workshop done we are now preparing for our next one, PRO Registration! For those who attended the first workshop, you know how important registering with a PRO (Public Rights Organization) is.

Registering with a Public Rights Organization (PRO) ensures you get paid performance royalties whenever your music is played publicly—on radio, streaming platforms, live shows, TV, or in venues. In the U.S., organizations like ASCAP, BMI, and SESAC collect this money on your behalf.

If you write your own songs and perform them, not registering means you’re leaving income unclaimed. A PRO protects your songwriting revenue, adds long-term passive income, and establishes you as a serious professional artist.

This would not have been possible without your passionate and dedicated team. We appreciate you for believing in our mission and vision to provide education to an underserved community of musicians.

Thank you to the two amazing attorneys, Alexandria Mueller & Panhia Vang, who did an amazing job presenting the material of this workshop! You both were very insightful on the topics and provided amazing answers to the musicians who attended.
