This Saturday at Red Chair Farm, we’re building mugs from clay, and you’ll get to choose your style:

A classic handled mug
or
a new handless mug with little feet

I’ll guide you step by step, so no experience is needed. Just come ready to slow down, try something new, and make a mug that feels like yours.

Only 6 spots remain, and this is the last community Claydate before classes pause in July.

This is what happens when you get a group of strangers, a birthday boy, and some clay in the same room at Red Chair Farm.

We made planters. We laughed. We celebrated. A few people had never touched clay before and by the end, you couldn’t tell who the “artists” were, because everyone was one.

That’s the thing about a Claydate. You don’t have to come knowing anything. You just have to show up.

A living room. A dog in the middle of everything. Clay on the table. And a room full of amazing people making something that will outlast all of it.

This is what a Claydate looks like. No studio required, no experience needed. Just show up, get your hands dirty, and leave with a handmade planter you actually made yourself. We’ve been back to this group before, because when people love it, they book again. That tells you everything.

You don’t need a big space. You don’t need any skills. You just need the right afternoon.

This is what a Claydate at the winery actually looks like — finished pieces, real people, real results. Every single one made by hand, step by step, with wine in the air and clay on their fingers.
No experience needed. No artistic background required. Just show up, get your hands dirty, and a few weeks later have something you made yourself — something that lasts.

Gorgeous weekend at the beach and finished it with a stop at the OPA ceramic showcase. Long-time friendships, laughter, exploring the beach and creativity! A very filling weekend in so many ways.
