Almost 50 paw print ornaments in one day!

Pugapalooza at Portland Saturday Market was such a great event. So many sweet pups, proud pet parents, muddy paws, and one-of-a-kind keepsakes.

Now the fun part starts for me, getting all of these little paw prints fired, glazed, and finished. I can’t wait to see how they turn out.

Want one for your pet?

I’ll be at Pacific Northwest Pets on October 24 making Paw Print Ornaments. Bring your pup, capture their actual paw print in clay, and I’ll turn it into a finished keepsake for you.

Reserve your spot at HandsOnArt.Fun.

There’s something really good about spending a day helping a friend bring their vision to life.

Today I traded clay for paint and helped get displays ready at a brand-new antique shop opening in Canby. And this place is so good. Warm, inviting, beautifully styled, and packed with antiques, refurbished furniture, and the kind of unique finds you don’t see everywhere.

They officially open September 4, so put it on your list.

And keep an eye out for a future Claydate here too!

Know someone who loves antiques and one-of-a-kind finds? Send this to them and plan a visit after September 4.

Full-circle moment for two pottery businesses turning one.

One of the first places I went to refresh my pottery skills was Mac Clay Pottery. Now Hands On Art has just turned one, and they’re celebrating their first year too.

I dropped off a few pieces today for their Student Showcase next week. If you love pottery, go check it out, great energy, talented instructors, and a really welcoming creative community.

Happy one year, Mac Clay Pottery!

Family time, ice cream, beautiful views… and a little pottery inspiration along the way.

We’ve been walking, exploring, laughing, and taking in one incredible national park. Can anyone guess where we are?

I also got to visit a gallery filled with work from artists who are doing absolutely amazing things. There is so much talent out there, and I’m coming home with fresh ideas and plenty of inspiration for future Claydates.

Drop your national park guess in the comments, and tell me: where do you find your best creative inspiration?

A little peek at what’s taking shape behind the scenes…

Most of these pieces are still unfinished and unfired, but new Claydate projects are landing soon. Which one would you want to make?

From a slab of clay to a mug she made herself.

She built it, shaped it, added her own details and then I took it from there: waxing, clear glazing, firing, and bringing it to its finished form. There’s something pretty special about seeing the whole process come together.

Fall Claydates and new projects are coming soon. Keep an eye out so you don’t miss the next one.

Thank you froescher_photography for the pics!
