1993 I tried building a Stratocaster type guitar in High School shop class. This is the 1st body I attempted. It was mistake after mistake. Broken drill bits that had to be drilled out and filled, routed areas that were too big, neck pocket cracked, etc…… after too many ugly mistakes I started over, learning from my mistakes. I did build one and went to State and took 1st place.

This body sat in 3 different garages all these years. I finally decided TotalBoat epoxy is fantastic at filling cracks and voids. Lots of sanding, filling, sanding, shaping, and sanding….. a fantastic silver metal flake finish that I have always wanted by the amazing And here we go!

Just in time for my 50th birthday this week.

Long story #2:

Guitar players believe every guitar has a special story. A guitar speaks to the owner. They have a soul.

This guitar body I built in Mr. Brooks shop class at Lafayett High School in 93/94. I screwed up and broke a screw off in it and routed part of it a hair too big (bathtub route that pickguard wouldn’t cover), so I built a second one (and won MO state competition with it). I’ve saved this body all this time and finally decided to fix it.

Used epoxy to fill all the defects, used fabric for the paisley, and had the amazing friend Curtis Goacher do his magic at paint and clear coating it. If you ever need any paint work THIS IS THE GUY!!!

Another friend, Tom Keller sold me an amazing Fender baritone neck and now this thing is a beast!!
