This week we would like to introduce you to Mitten State Studio!! For anyone who loves our beautiful state you need to stop by their booth and pick up one (or more) of their t-shirts or other memorable items. Here is a bit more about their business!

"Mitten State Studio began in September 2024 out of a genuine love for Michigan. I have worked and traveled for year throughout the upper and lower peninsula of Michigan and enjoy hiking, driving, and exploring all our hidden gems. I wanted to create a business that captured those memories and the nostalgia so many of us feel when we think about Michigan.
At Mitten State Studio, I design and create Michigan-inspired apparel, gifts and more. Every design is my own, and I personally create each product, from the original artwork to pressing every garment by hand. One of my favorite collections is "Mitten Miles", which celebrates Michigan’s iconic M-roads and the unforgettable drives that take us through colorful forests, along breathtaking shorelines, and into charming small towns. My husband has also been an incredible part of this journey. He helps with brainstorming new product ideas, attending events, and makes all of our woodworking products. If you’ve stopped by our booth this season, you’ve probably met Jason! He’s been by my side helping at nearly every show, and I couldn’t do it without him.
I look forward to meeting everyone at Uncle John’s and sharing a little piece of Michigan with you!"

🌸 Forever Flowers 🪚

This week we would like to highlight Thad with Forever Flowers!! Thad has done many shows with us along with others around the state! Here is a little more about their business and how it all got started. Be sure to stop by and check out his one of a kind pieces at Uncle John's Cider Mill!

"My wife and I started our art business in 2012. I was working in the granite business
and it really bothered me to see so many beautiful pieces ending up in the landfill
because they were too small to make a countertop or vanity. We started by carving
flowers for the garden.
Soon after starting the business we were approached about carving a cheese board in the shape of Michigan. Little did we know that it would be one of our best selling items. We currently sell them in a winery in northern Michigan, a local cider mill, and a store in Frankenmuth.
Each piece is carved by hand from granite using a series of angle grinders and diamond blades. Our flowers have bloomed into beautiful bouquets ranging from 3 flowers to 12 flowers in unique boulder bases. They are the perfect gift for any special occasion.
One of the most gratifying things we do is create beautiful floral memorials as they are a lasting remembrance of someone’s departed loved ones.
We’ve done many art fairs over the years. We love meeting new people and appreciate the wonderful new and returning customers we see each year. There’s nothing better than having a return customer tell you how much they are still enjoying a piece they bought from you years ago. That’s why we’re Forever Flowers!"

Keepsake would like to welcome Jenelle with Honey and June! She creates high quality headbands made with buttery soft material and lots of love!! You can find her at our upcoming Uncle John's Show at the end of the month, along with multiple of our shows throughout the remainder of the year.

Here is a snippet of how Honey and June came to be! 💛
"I started my headband business in 2021, and like many small businesses it all began with a simple need. During the COVID shutdown I was looking for an easy way to keep my hair looking its best. I tried headbands from big box stores, but none of them were as comfortable or well-made as I wanted. So, I decided to make my own.
I spent countless hours practicing, sewing, and refining my design until I created the headband I had been searching for—a headband made with buttery-soft fabrics, beautiful timeless prints, and all-day comfort that actually stays in place. Once restrictions were lifted, I began sharing my handmade headbands at local craft shows and pop-up markets.
The most rewarding part of this journey is seeing the joy my handmade headbands bring to others. What began as a necessity, has grown into a business that I am incredibly proud of. Thank you for supporting my small business and allowing me to be a small part of your everyday style." - Jenelle
