To my surprise and great happiness this year’s second annual Curtis and Friends Christmas party was even better than the first! My goodness I have a lot of people to thank. First and foremost, all you wonderful folks who came out early and stayed late to support my musician friends that volunteered their time. Thank you! Thank you! Thank you! Wasn’t it amazing to see a band thrown together just for this event perform so well? Those guys and gals are brave and awesome! And the established bands did exactly what we all knew they were going to do, kick butt! Big thank-yous to Barry del Carlo and Roberto Reyes. Both those guys did so much behind the scenes that it would take forever to list. They were invaluable, and I appreciate their help and friendship greatly! Big thank-yous to Tom Murphy, Tyler Francis, and Chris Duran for letting me use their guitar amps. What a blessing that was. Big thank you to Doug Thomas. I was at rehearsal two nights prior to the party. I saw a facebook message from Doug, whom I'd only spoken to once briefly years ago, saying he had heard about the event and wanted to know if I'd like him to M.C. Heck yes I wanted him to be our M.C.! He was fantastic and took a ton of weight off my shoulders. Another big thank you to Kayla Holland. She is an enormously skilled sound person who made all the bands sound terrific, and also a very nice person. Finally, thank you to all my musician friends who volunteered their time. You guys and gals are awesome, and I greatly appreciate all of you.
