So we've all been spending a lot more time at home lately, and part of that means we don't get to hang out with our friends like we used to do before. I figured I would cope with that by bringing 2 of my best friends on the show, Nick Schrader and Josiah Tipton, to talk about what's been going on in...

I'm not the first to share this message, nor will I be the last. Too many people out there fall into the trap of these pervasive myths out there when it comes to what it takes to make your own music. Whether it's different gear, software, or using things pros use, we tend to invent excuses for why w...

Ever since streaming platforms became a thing, there are more and more people who are listening to music nowadays. Not only that, but people are consuming more than they ever have before as well. As a producer and a songwriter, there is more opportunity now than there ever was before too. You have m...

On today's show I bring you into a quick chat I had with Jeremy about music production. What is a producer's main job? How should a producer approach every song they work on? What is the ultimate outcome of what a producer is working to achieve? These are the sorts of things we kick back in forth in...

So it has been a long time since I've posted anything over here! A few quick updates about the podcast. We are going to be dramatically simplifying how things are done from now. We will only be releasing one episode per month in 2018, though there may be an occasional bonus. We will shut down our website, everylastdroppodcast.com as it is no longer necessary to maintain. This page will serve as "website". Our episodes will still be available on iTunes and Stitcher, but no longer on Soundcloud. We will not be focusing on guests and interviews anymore, but more so hanging out and talking about what's going on in our lives, and the progress of our creative endeavors. We will have the occasional guest sometimes. That's basically it! We have quietly added a few episodes since we last posted, and they are on iTunes. To hear all of our episodes, subscribe on iTunes or Stitcher. Here's the link for iTunes.

We finally have a new episode again! I wish I could have gotten this one out sooner, but oh well. Steven is our first repeat guest, and definitely delivered. We also got to have Steven play some new songs on his acoustic guitar.

I also got to see The War on Peace play their EP release show last night in Chicago, and they rocked the place! You'll enjoy this one.

So...I've been on the road in Texas for the last couple of weeks. When I'm the road, I edit and mix the show on my MacBook Pro. Several months ago I had an issue with my MacBook Pro where the wifi card stopped working, making it impossible for me to connect to the internet, let alone surf it. I decided to make it the perfect excuse to get a high performance desktop that I've always wanted, in order to finally remove the excuses of not having a powerful enough computer to do my creative work. I kept the MacBook Pro because it still had software on it that was valuable to me, most importantly ableton live, my recording platform. A couple of days ago my computer was connected to a wifi network where I'm staying, and ableton started to auto update itself, doing it through the internet. Of course, my computer can't connect to the internet, so that means that software will never update. I can't even open the software anymore, basically defeating the purpose of even having this computer anymore. Oh well. Time for a new laptop.

No new episodes for a couple weeks because of this! Sorry guys!

It's new episode day! We have some exciting goodies coming soon, I promise. But for now, enjoy our conversation surrounding the ideas of what fuels, and what hinders creativity!

For this week's episode, we are glad to have Luke be able to sit down with us again! We were lucky enough to catch him on his spring break, so we decided to just do an episode with us 3. We wanted to
