Schad is a Sacramento-native who has been actively painting since 1967. His original oil paintings of the nostalgic American West have primarily adorned the walls of close friends and family throughout California and the Southwest, the East Coast, Canada, and Europe. In October of 2011, Robert became one of the newest recognized artists in California. His original oil rendition of "Gateway to Yose

mite" (48"x60"; original oil) )hangs in one of the State Capitol Senate Chambers in Sacramento.
