The festival’s mission is to foster the development of well-rounded dancers and providing them with extensive exposure and networking opportunities. Each year, TCDA-IBF selects a panel of esteemed Master-Teachers from various international ballet companies and schools. These esteemed ins

tructors are Directors, Principal Dancers, and Choreographers who are dedicated to the holistic development of each student. What distinguishes TCDA-IBF is its distinctive scholarship program, which facilitates students’ enrollment in esteemed national and international dance programs. This initiative offers students unparalleled experiences, exposure, and opportunities for their professional development. TCDA-IBF welcomes dancers from diverse backgrounds, ranging from the age of 11 to the professional level. TCDA-IBF welcomes Ms. Autumn Co to its contemporary faculty.

Ms. Autumn grew up training and competing at Kids Dance & Fitness, where she first fell in love with dance. Throughout high school, she trained and performed with the Blackrock Dance Company before returning to Kids Dance & Fitness as an instructor and is now the director of the studio’s competitive company.

Autumn has performed with Jacob Gutierrez- Montoya's contemporary company, Sacramento Dance Theater, for the past four seasons, including at the Fringe Festival in Scotland. This summer, she will return to Scotland to perform the lead role in Snow White.

Autumn is passionate about creating a positive, encouraging environment where dancers feel challenged, supported, and confident. She loves sharing her passion for dance and believes that dance is for everyone.

TCDA-IBF welcomes Audrey Lewin to the faculty of the summer intensive program in 2026

Audrey Lewin, a dancer and instructor based in Folsom, California, has dedicated her career to the art of contemporary dance. Her passion for ballet and jazz initially blossomed into a profound appreciation for the form, which ultimately became her primary focus.

In 2025, Lewin concluded her five-year tenure with Hawkins Contemporary Jazz Company, where she served as a lead instructor. Her expertise encompasses contemporary, jazz, acrobatics, and company classes at Hawkins School of Performing Arts.

Lewin’s commitment to dance extends beyond her professional pursuits. She actively participates in Sacramento Dance Theatre, where she shares her passion for the art form through performances and community outreach. Her extensive travels, both within and beyond the United States, have further enriched her appreciation for the transformative power of dance.

Currently, Lewin is pursuing a degree in psychology at Folsom Lake College. She plans to transfer to a university to further her academic journey. Throughout her life, Lewin has consistently demonstrated a commitment to encouragement, inspiration, and self-improvement in all aspects of her endeavors.

TCDA-IBF welcomes Kendra Barrera to it’s contemporary faculty.

Ms. Kendra is the Assistant Artistic Director of the Sacramento Dance Theater.

Raised in Roseville, CA, she trained in ballet, jazz, and contemporary at local studios and discovered her passion for teaching through the Woodcreek High School dance program. As both a team member and department leader, she developed the foundations of her teaching practice and later returned to coach the Woodcreek High School Dance Team. Throughout her seven years as coach, she had dancers pursue college dance programs and professional dance careers. She also taught for eight years at El Dorado Dance Academy, where she directed and choreographed for the Kaleidoscope Touring Company.��
Blending her love of education and dance, Kendra established and led an integrated dance department for grades 7–12 at Marysville Charter Academy for the Arts, serving as its director for four years. She is currently the Programs Director at Hawkins School of Performing Arts in addition to teaching contemporary, jazz, leaps and turns, and company rehearsal classes. In addition, she is proud to be a founding dancer with Sacramento Dance Theatre and currently serves as the company’s Assistant Artistic Director.

Kendra holds an M.Ed in Educational Leadership from Arizona State University, a BA in English and Single Subject Teaching Credentials in both English and Dance from Sacramento State University. Alongside her dance work, she teaches 9th grade English. Kendra is grateful for the many opportunities she has had to share her knowledge and passion for dance and remains committed to fostering artistry, discipline, and passion in every student she teaches.

TCDA-IBF is delighted to announce the appointment of Samuel Fulk to its contemporary dance faculty for the 2026 summer intensive program.

Born and raised in California, Samuel Fulk cultivated his artistic talents through dance, musical theater, and dramatic productions. He subsequently joined the pre-professional company Santa Cruz Ballet Theatre, under the guidance of Robert Kelley and Diane Cypher.

Samuel’s professional career took off with Utah Metropolitan Ballet, where he performed for six seasons under the direction of Jacqueline Colledge. During this period, he also pursued his studies at Utah Valley University, graduating with honors in 2014 with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Dance, with a concentration in Ballet. Additionally, Samuel served as the Director of Ballet Utah II North, the second company of the Academy of Ballet, directed by Lynne Thompson.

Since relocating to Sacramento in 2016, Samuel has established himself as a sought-after dance instructor, choreographer, and performer in the region. In January 2018, he was appointed as a Professor of Dance at CSU Sacramento, where he instructs upper-division ballet courses. Samuel is also a faculty member with the School of the Sacramento Ballet, where he guides pre-professional dancers. He continues to enrich his artistic journey by serving as a guest artist for professional and pre-professional companies throughout the western United States.

The TCDA-IBF is pleased to welcome Ms. Tina DeVine back to the faculty team for the Summer Intensive 2026!

Ms. Tina studied ballet at Rose Marie Floyd Studio of Dance in Royal Oak, Michigan. During the course of her training there, she completed six levels of the Cecchetti Method of Ballet by 16 years of age. During this time, due to her talent, she was awarded several scholarships by the Cecchetti Council of America.

While studying at Rose Marie Floyd Studio of Dance and performing with the Contemporary Civic Ballet, Tina was awarded scholarships to The Joffrey School of Ballet in New York City every summer term between the ages of 14-17, before joining The Joffrey Ballet Company.

In her role as a dance educator, Tina has trained many young aspiring dancers and choreographed numerous dance performances. Most recently, she was employed as the Artistic Director of the Ballet Program at a local dance studio, and was a member and Ballet Mistress of CORE Contemporary Dance, a local professional dance company.

Tina's forte is coaching and training young students to become professional dancers.

TCDA-IBF is pleased to announce the appointment of Mikiah Stone to the summer intensive faculty this year.

Mikiah Stone is a choreographer, performer, and dance instructor based in the Sacramento area. He is a member of two nonprofit dance companies, where he has spent the past year performing and choreographing original works. After shifting his focus from acting to dance, Mikiah discovered his true passion for movement and choreography.

He is excited to work with TCDA-IBF dancers this summer and looks forward to creating an inspiring, supportive, and educational environment where each student can grow in both confidence and artistry.
