West Coast Ragtime Festival The world's premiere annual ragtime festival in Sacramento, California, ragtime capitol of the world!

The Festival is held at the Sacramento Marriott Rancho Cordova, Sacramento, CA. The Festival has become one of the premiere ragtime festivals in the world. It began in the mid 1980's in Fresno, California and enjoyed 10 successful years there before moving to Sacramento in 1997 where it has been a great success. The festival is held the weekend before Thanksgiving

ix comfortable venues, all on the ground level under one roof, for listening and dancing to ragtime music on all three days, as well as seminars on all facets of ragtime. The music begins at noon on Friday and continues until 11 PM, followed by after-hours. Saturday is a full day from 9 AM to 11 PM, then after-hours, and Sunday is 9 AM to 5 PM. After-hours jam sessions Friday and Saturday are always the norm at the Festival.

Hi everyone! Important update here. There's a date change for the first meeting of the new Bay Area Ragtime Society. Our first meeting will be on Sunday, September 27th, not Sunday, September 20th as originally posted.

West Coast Ragtime Society is sponsoring a new Bay Area Ragtime Society! The Bay Area Ragtime Society will meet monthly starting on Sunday, September 27th from 2 - 4 pm. The date changed from our original post due to a scheduling issue. Please join us on Sunday, September 27th for our first session. The meeting location is the amazing Orchestria Palm Court at 27 E. William St. in San Jose. The meeting format is Open Piano from 2 - 3 pm, followed by a featured performer from 3 - 4 pm. There will be a sign-up sheet for the Open Piano portion. Our first featured performer is Vincent Johnson! There's no charge to attend, but donations are welcome.
