Jazz is heating up in Sacramento!
The recent fundraising concert featuring trombonist Wycliffe Gordon and reed player Adrian Cunningham was a great success, netting over $3000 for the HJJ Scholarship Fund. Special thanks to Rio Americano High School for the use of their outstanding performing arts center, and to the Sacramento Jazz Education Foundation for their generous sponsorship.
Nearly half the audience was comprised of local students, many of whom sat in on the last tune of the evening.

The deadline to apply for this year's scholarships is June 14th. Do you know a graduating senior who plans to study music after high school? If so, encourage them to apply!
