I decided to try my hand at cutting boards. These two are kits I purchased to get some practice with the process. They are Angelique, Hard Maple, and Wenge.

Getting close to the finish line with this microwave/storage rack for the kitchen. I decided to use dowel joinery for most of the build, both to try something new and to avoid visible fasteners.

All of the pieces are milled from inexpensive 2x4 pine studs. It’s finished with a Kona gel stain and semi gloss polyurethane.

Just a couple more pieces to make and it will be done.

I’ll post more pictures when it’s done.

It’s been awhile, but I finished another live edge bowl. It has been turned from a crotch piece of unknown fruit wood I was given by a fellow woodworker I met the other day .

This is by far the largest live edge bowl I’ve made so far. It measures just over 12” diameter and 10” tall.

This was a commissioned piece I was asked to make.

I think after this experience a negative rake scraper and curved tool rest for the lathe are next on my purchase list, it was pretty challenging to hollow this deep bowl out without the proper tools.

Mother’s Day present for my wife from my daughter. A nice picture frame to hold a picture of her favorite daughter. She helped design it, and I built it.

Cedar with Black Walnut inlay.

Built this side table over the last couple weekends. Pretty challenging design, but worth it.
