Poetry N Motion Dance Company Kiima’s instruction is given with an emphasis on Contemporary and Jazz . In the last few years Poetry N Motion has become an even deeper meaning to Kiima.

The Company’s mission is to educate young children and teens on Domestic Violence through dance, while learning proper necessities to successfully achieve discipline, technique and self-esteem in the performing arts. Poetry N Motion Dance Company was founded in 2005 by Kiima Morrison with a mission to provide young children and teenagers with the proper necessities to successfully achieve discipli

ne, technique and self-esteem in the performing arts. She is not only teaching her own movement but a theory of something personal and passionate. She believes that dance is not only a pleasurable and challenging physical activity, but also an opportunity to grow intellectually and emotionally. Dance develops creativity and problem solving ability, and most importantly team work , discipline and responsibility. She now uses dance as a way to teach teens about Domestic Violence. Sadly in 2006 one of her dearest friends Angela Santiago was a victim of Domestic Violence and did not survive. Since then Poetry N Motion has been and will continue to be in honor of Angela and all the animals at The Montgomery County Humane Society that Angela loves so dearly.
