CFRA's membership growth objectives are to maintain a club size that is: 1) small enough to allow members to know each other and to have common interests in events/activities, 2) manageable enough for a handful of volunteers to coordinate activities and events, 3) active enough to id
entify and provide leading activities which will attract new members and allow CFRA to grow and flourish. FRIENDS and DRIVING ENTHUSIASTS
CFRA is designed to be a group of friends and driving enthusiasts who share common interests and to enjoy a day of high performance driving. Events are organized so members can meet and get to know the other members of the club. Members are encouraged to invite their friends (who share common interests) to CFRA events and thus, provide an important link to recruit new members. Events are never advertised. We are seeking friends and not just participants. SKILL LEVEL
Drivers at all levels can enjoy CFRA. You can be a beginner with no previous days of track experience or someone with years of race experience. CFRA is not a high performance driving school. However, advanced CFRA drivers are happy to provide mentoring for any member seeking advice on their driving performance. QUALIFYING COMPETITION
All Drivers can compete in the qualifying competition. Points are gained by posting a qualifying time within your car class at each event. CFRA supports friendly competition on both the autocross course and race track. EXHIBITION RACING
CFRA has the largest exhibition race series in Northern California for modern cars with 6 races each year. No contact between cars is permitted. DEMOCRACY
All members can propose and vote on any issues brought before the club. The Board of Directors have no more voting authority than do the individual members. Votes are usually conducted through email. NO CLUB MEETINGS
CFRA doesn't have club meetings! We do have 3 non-performance events each year where club business is conducted. This includes the Awards Banquet, Business Lunch, and Picnic.
