Charlie Burke was a brilliant and generous man who made anyone in his presence feel like the sun was shining upon them. He fought for fairness as a criminal defense attorney, but Charlie’s true passion lied in gambling. The Burke family (his wife Barb and their 3 kids) took grand summer vacations in Vegas and Reno, where the kids would spend their time in the pool and the arcade while he and Barb

would throw craps. In 1980 Charlie placed 2nd in an international craps tournament. After he retired from his law practice, Charlie launched full-time into his dream career – Bookie. He spent his retirement time putting out lines, taking down bets, and hosting “Charlie Tuesdays” at a local restaurant with his regular clients. No matter what kind of week he had – the Bookie always picked up the tab. If Charlie were here, he would wish you “good craic” (lots of fun – in Irish).
