GRATITUDE. That’s been the overwhelming feeling. THANK YOU for showing up to my 1,000th performance and listening to my ORIGINAL music yesterday! You guys showed up and filled my heart to the brim. Many have been following me around town solo for years, some of you more recently, one of you since I led worship as a teenager. Regardless of when you joined the journey, I’m just glad you’re here. And still here. THANK YOU. Yesterday was a lot of fun!

Thank you to my family for hosting me and my people! You have supported me and my music for years! Wired was the perfect spot for what I needed.

And can we give it up to my wife for a minute? This beautiful woman had special cookies made for the day and came up with the idea to have the attendees sign a picture mat celebrating #1000! And those balloons, man... 😂 She was bound and determined to make them work. She also got the kids ready at home (which can be a job in of itself) while I packed the car and set up. She has been my biggest supporter for the last 17 years and not enough great things can be said about her.

When I was putting my setlist together, I thought, “Do I even have 90 minutes of original music that I’m proud of enough to perform?” Well, I ended up cutting a few songs that are just okay late Friday night, cut a few more mid performance because of time, and still played just short of two hours. Here are the lessons I learned while putting this together: Have more faith in yourself. Never stop working on your passion. Be proud of your work. Don’t be afraid to share what brings you joy. Thank you for being around for the first 1000 shows! I look forward to seeing you at show 1,001 and beyond!
