IT’S TIME for the Sweetwater Downs Quarter Horse Derby! Saturday’s 10th race will see the top ten Derby trial qualifiers do battle over 400 yards — for the winner’s share of $163,400! 🏆💰

Highlighting this year’s edition are the top two fastest qualifiers & morning line favorites: Terry Mesu ( #4, 4/1) & Flying Rocco ( #9, 7/2).

First post is 1:00pm, with the Derby scheduled for approx. 5:12pm.

Racing continues Sunday with a 1:00pm first post.

The Sweetwater Downs Open Futurity trials have been rescheduled for Friday, September 11, after inclement weather forced the cancellation of all but one race on the track’s August 29 program.

🏇🚨 ANNOUNCEMENT: The Futurity Trials for the Sweetwater Downs QH Futurity will be run on Friday, September 11th with a special 12:00pm noon post time.

The $300,000 Open QH Futurity Final will be run on Saturday, September 26th — the $25,000 Sweetwater Downs Futurity Consolation will also be contested on September 26th. Q-Racing Coady Media
