THE UPDATE. ⬇️

I am back in Central Florida, making art. 🎨

After a harrowing 2025, my daughter and I have spent the beginning of this year creating something beautiful - fresh new beginnings.

I’m very excited to have both of my easels setup and I even started a sketchbook practice. Who am I?! 🤭

I’ve recently rejoined GFAA and am volunteering this weekend with FAFO Symphony Under The Stars! I am excited to get reinvolved in the community that helped me build my artistic dreams before.

I’ve been rebuilding my website, connecting in-person in the community, and looking forward to some potential shows ladies in the fall.

You can catch me somewhere between the end of a paint brush and the beginning of a kayak this summer as I reconnect with my inspiration in the sunshine state.

Much love & creativity,

Artist Named Britt

🌸 A quiet moment from the studio.

This piece is a watercolor study of a wedding bouquet, a way of preserving joy, not just in photos, but in paint. Each petal, each stem, is a memory held in color.

Commissions like this feel like collaboration across time. A moment lived. A moment remembered. A moment made visible again.

Watching my little one grow into a curious, joyful, toddler is one of the most beautiful and challenging parts of this journey. 🎨

Every day brings new discoveries, messy hands, and endless giggles. While I’m chasing inspiration for my paintings, I’m also trying to slow down and savor these fleeting moments that won’t last forever.

Here’s to all the artist parents out there creating alongside their little muses. We’re making art, making memories, and making it all work, one brushstroke and bedtime story at a time. 💜

Slow down. Tune in. Create space.

Whether it’s a paintbrush or a peaceful view, choose what lights you up today. 🌊 🎨

friends!

Three of my original watercolor pieces will be up at Melo Coffee & Kitchen this August. It’s my first local show since moving here and sharing space with other Rochester artists feels really special.

Stop by, treat yourself to a café mocha with oat milk (my go-to!), & take a quiet moment to enjoy the on the walls.

Let me know if you visit! 🧡

Since moving to Rochester, I’ve been slowly rebuilding my art business and today I’m sharing something new that feels really meaningful.

✨ I now have a Ko-fi page, where folks can support my work through one-time tips or monthly memberships.

If you’ve ever connected with one of my paintings… if you’ve followed my road-tripping art journey across states… if you believe in soft, handmade things and the people behind them, this space is for you.

Your support helps cover the real stuff: paper, paint, toddler-friendly studio snacks, and time. It helps me keep creating from a place of love and presence not burnout.

I’ll be sharing behind-the-scenes photos, sketches, stories from the road, and early access to shop updates plus some surprises for members.

I’m so grateful to be making art here in Rochester. Thanks for being part of it. 💛

Seven days and nine states later we’ve made it to New York. We visited family, ate local in new cities, and learned so much about each place.

Our moving truck arrived with only some minor losses and all-in-all we are counting our blessings.

My easel is setup and I’m watching for a workspace through in our new neighborhood. I plan to start doing shows once we are settled!

I’m feeling so inspired by the quiet rainy afternoons, the freshly blooming flowers, and the q***r community in New York.

I sure will miss those cacti in Arizona but I’m excited for what the future holds for us.

What a Sunday, friends. 🎨

As a local, q***r, watercolor artist and mama I wanted to share that you can now find my work on additional platforms besides IG, FB, & TikTok.

I’m diversifying my social portfolio and looking to build community where it feels right, ethically. Last time we had this president I participated in activist marches, volunteered in any way I could, and even help raised money for other small businesses that were struggling. I plan to do the same again this time.

You’ll still see small updates here but for the good stuff - Join me where it feels right for you and I look forward to building community, together.

🧡 All 🔗 are updated right on my 📃. 🧡

Sending hope and light during this time.

Much love,

Britt
