The final moment arrived after so much fun in between!!!! The happy KCFA client saw and purchased this Madonna masterpiece at our exhibit during Fashion Week, then a week later met the artist, Amy Shekhter in person at our Pop Sugar Art Show opening night! The artist wrote a personal note on the back dedicated to a collector who really exemplifies her nickname, “Sparkle” and it is now forever attached to this piece of art!
Now all of the fun and excitement will live on every day she gets to enjoy her new work of art during her days at her home office!
KCFA confirmed a commission order for a 48 x 48” Adam Colangelo copper piece today for a client in Florida. After researching many of the different styles and color combinations afforded by the artist, the client narrowed the search to three looks. The final inspiration came from a 48 x 36” piece sold a few years ago which will now be “reincarnated” into a new 48 x 48” format.
The softness of the “verdigris” and natural copper patinas will be a perfect complement to the modern, dreamy, and natural beachfront dwelling.

KCFA clients asked for assistance with an 11 foot feature wall in their Great Room. After narrowing the search to the copper work of Adam Colangelo, the next step was selecting the perfect mosaic pattern of copper tiles as well as, the appropriate color palette of patinas. The final selection was made and the scale of the commission will be slightly larger than the superimposed options demonstrate. Can you guess which one we chose?
Pop art continues to have a very strong influence in the art world. Iconic personalities provide an emotional insight into our lives. We react powerfully to their energy and forms of creativity whether it be music, acting, politics, religion or writing they define decades and provide emotional bookmarks into the intangible existence we call life. Famous personalities provide a roadmap to what we all can aspire to be if we had the determination, stamina, drive and luck to go for our dreams. They also teach us how dangerous infamy can be and remind us that in the end, they’re neither God nor immortal.
Artistic legacies do live on and extend beyond generations and lifetimes. Pop art is a means to encapsulate the important players of culture and it “vacuum seals” the flavor and originality of its subjects in a timeless way. Academic Art critics may thumb their noses at pop art, claiming there is no technical skill or originality to the pop art medium. They claim to be superior but it is a necessary contribution to our culture as it makes art accessible to all. Art should move us in a deep visceral way, it should help us connect to our inner desires, fears and dreams. Art collectors and aficionados attain invaluable pleasure through pop art. Create interest and variety in your art collection by adding series art. A series is a combination of two or more art pieces whose sum totals one image. This Eventov Birch Tree series is a “diptych” meaning it has two components creating one visual aesthetic. Series pieces can have numerous images.
