We love Cobalt!!!

We can not thank Mike Rowell - Custom SignWorks LLC enough for Cobalts GORGEOUS name sake sign! From hanging in the car, to on the front of his crate, I couldn’t ask for a better first foot forward for Cobalt.

I was honored to be asked to create this new sign. The original sign, which was made by this client’s father, hung for at least 40 years, and likely longer.

I’m told that this old gal used to make violins. No telling how many, or who they were for, but if you have a violin made in New Hampshire, chances are it was worked on this saw. It was given to me by a good friend.
I cleaned her all up, refinished the plywood table, painted the base and wire wheeled the rust off of the table.

Let’s see if she has any magic left to make some special signs!

Both sides are roughed, just started texture. I’ll be power carving the stripes in the flag, and adding some depth to the star field. This is the ugly stage…it should shape right up as time goes on. Stay tuned!

Boards are made, Layout is all done, shapes are cut…Now for the carving!
