Where: Peanut Island! You can kayak over, paddle over, boat over, or visit our friends over at the Peanut Island Shuttle Boat service at the Riviera Beach Marina Village. (Adult Ticket $12, Child Ticket $6.... and dogs are free!)
When: Saturday, May 15th. 10am-5pm.
We will be raising awareness for the living coral at the importance of reef safe sunscreen! We will also be teaching coral and fish identification, holding beach ecology lessons, picking up pollution, and more! Bring the whole family out for this amazing summer kick off event!

Lots to do on Peanut Island, take a look on PBCs map! The 1.25Mi path is beautiful to walk! Look for manatees on the 280ft reef boardwalk. Peanut Island Shuttle Boat helps take you to paradise! On Peanut Island you may enjoy beautiful beaches & a lagoon, awesome snorkeling reefs, scenic walking trails. The island is dog friendly & so are we! Our shuttle runs everyday from 10AM-5PM (3:30 last boat to the island). For the day it is $12 per person for a round trip & children 6 years & younger are half price $6. One day not long enough? We had an absolutely amazing time at Peanut Island this weekend! A big thank you to everybody who came out to see us and stopped by our pavilion!
By the end of the day we were able to talk about coral with over 500 people who made their way from the Riviera Beach Marina Village to Peanut Island via Peanut Island Shuttle Boat
We got to share all about the research we do, the living coral that calls Peanut Island home, and the importance of wearing a reef safe sunscreen and how to choose the right reef safe sunscreen for you. We also handed out reefsafe sunscreen samples to beach goers thanks the generosity of TropicSport!
Overall amazing day and we canβt wait to do it again! Thanks to our awesome partners in conservation Beach Bucket Foundation for joining us!

Trying to get an idea of the current traffic to/from the island. Are you running fairly full most of the time, and is the island fairly crowded? We are thinking of going this weekend
I have a couple questions - Are Saturdays and Sundays crazy busy? I know summer is but how about now? How much of the beach area and snorkeling area is closed for the ongoing project? Is the beach by the reef area open?
