Susan Narucki and Kirsten Ashley Wiest will be singing works for two unaccompanied sopranos by Rozalie Hirs, Marti Epstein, and Kaija Saariaho. This short concert showcases the artistry of the human voice through its delicacy, power, and combined magic!

Tonight the amazing Marieke Franssen (see picture) will play a recital at the Nieuwe Noten series at Plein Theater, Amsterdam. She performs works by Minami Nagai (see picture and bio below), Yan Maresz, Ruud Roelofsen, Jacq Palinckx, and Rozalie Hirs. Welcome!

From Monday 8 to Friday 12 September 2025, Rozalie Hirs’ new album Infinity Stairs (2025) is featured album of the week on Passaggio Late Night, NPO Klassiek (Radio 4), presented by Lex Bohlmeijer and Pieter van Nes.
Each evening, one of the works from the album is broadcast, and Hirs shares insights into the background and inspiration of the piece.

Op 15 juni 2025 van 15:00-17:30 uur wordt in galerie ENTER ENTER de tentoonstelling Forum [1-10] Housewarming geopend. Tevens wordt het allernieuwste en tevens laatste nummer uit de serie, te weten #10 (De Zolder), gepresenteerd.

Forum is een initiatief van AetA, Architectura et Amicitia. Tijdens de periode 2018-2025 maakte de redactie, bestaande uit Machiel Spaan (hoofdredacteur), Elsbeth Ronner, Sandra Kassenaar, Bart de Baets, Like Bijlsma, Luuk Kramer en Vibeke Gieskes, tien edities van Forum als een reis door het huis. Iedere editie bezoekt één ruimte:

#2 keuken
#3 technische ruimte
#4 woonkamer
#5 werkkamer
#6 galerij
#7 tuin
#8 dierenverblijf
#9 slaapkamer
#10 zolder

De bijdragen verkennen architectuur in het spectrum van cultuur met het huis als gids. Samen bevragen we huiselijke thema’s in het actuele dagelijkse leven en maatschappelijke vraagstukken als ambacht, verbeeldingskracht, zorg, onderdak en veiligheid. Startend vanuit alledaagse noties van de ruimte ontvouwt zich een reis door geschiedenis, metaforen, theorie en actuele ontwerpen en gebouwen. We gaan op zoek naar het waarachtige van ruimte en architectuur.

Het ontwerp van alle edities tussen 2018-2025 was in handen van Bart de Baets, Sandra Kassenaar. De eindredactie bestond uit Vibeke Gieskes en Romy Schuit. Forum is financieel mogelijk gemaakt door jaarlijkse bijdragen van alle leden van AetA, dertig donateurs en een bijdrage van BPD Cultuurfonds. Rozalie Hirs schreef als huisdichter voor ieder nummer een nieuw gedicht.

De tentoonstelling loopt van 15 tot en met 29 juni 2025 en is te bezoeken tijdens de reguliere openingstijden van ENTER ENTER op donderdag, vrijdag en zaterdag van 13:00-17:00 uur. Op 24 juni 2025 om 19:00-21:00 uur vindt Het AetA Gesprek plaats met een discussie over het belang van het architectuurtijdschrift Forum sinds 1918. In het bijzonder komen aan bod de laatste tien nummers van Forum over het huis en de vraag waarom aandacht voor wonen zo belangrijk is.

On Saturday 14 June 2025 at 1PM at Poetry International, Rotterdam, the poets Rozalie Hirs and Maricela Guerrero explore poetry as an ecosystem as alive, interconnected, and in urgent need of care. From scientific insight to lyrical wonder, both poets use their work to reflect on the fragile connections between humans, species, and the planet.

With readings, reflections, and poetic ways of thinking that ask not just what we say, but how we say it, and what that means for the world around us.

Moderated by poet and scholar Mia You.

After many years of new works, premieres, concerts, it is time for a few albums with new recordings of some of these works... Next month, my new CD 'Infinity Stairs' will see the light! With chamber and solo works, performed by Marie Ythier, Fie Schouten, Wiek Hijmans, Marieke Franssen, and Keren Motseri. Recordings by Micha de Kanter. Sleeve design by álleburen, under the lovely guidance of Jan Erik Fokke.
