We're taking inspiration from the FIFA world cup for the month of July. The real world cup will still be going strong, so if you want, wear something sports related and join in on the fun. Don't make me give you a yellow card!

Taking inspiration from the World Cup going on in USA, Canada and Mexico.
Groups will be seeded based on past performance! Our top players will all be in different groups in the qualifier phase. Who will end up in the group of death?

You stay in the same group of 4 for the Group Qualifier Phase
Minimum of 3 Qualifier Rounds
Top 2 of 4 make it into the playoffs

Playoffs:
1v1 Single Elimination Brackets.
Random Pinball Machine placement.
Top seed gets to pick to go first or second.

Pinheads,

We had an awesome time welcoming the new Pokemon Pinball machine at Sierra Lanes in Ridgecrest tonight!

15 folks came out tonight! 6 of those players had never played in a tournament until tonight! That's awesome!

We missed our regulars that were out of town this weekend, but fear not, we had new recruits!

We played a "best 4 games" tournament tonight, where you had 2 hours to get your 4 best games in, with a max of 12 attempts.

Newcomer Josef made the playoffs on his first try! Congrats

With two groups of 3 for the semi finals, Brice, Curtis, Daryl and Jason would advance as your final 4 on pokemon.

Yours truly borked it all up and finished 4th, but we have a pretty good story for Ridgecrest Pinball Lore.
Jason put up a great score of 121 million after ball 3. I followed up with maybe 30 million, something forgettable, leaving Curtis and then Daryl. Curtis scored over 60M on his last ball to finish 600,000 points more than Jason, with something on the order of 121.6 million.
Daryl, with 15 million after 2 balls and short over 100 million, did what Daryl does, and scored over 200 million on his 3rd ball for a commanding win over everyone. There's a reason why there's an Anti Daryl Daryl Club :) We love you Daryl, you are awesome and I'm glad you come out! We collectively had you sweating this time!

Congrats to Daryl on his win, Curtis on his best finish of 2nd, and Jason for having the highest score on Pokemon during qualifying and winning another prize. Jason also got some Ridgecrest Pinball swag for driving so far out to join us. Those pogs are not going to collect themselves!!!
