Australia has its own TIGER?!

Meet the Yarri, better known as the Queensland Tiger: a mysterious striped predator said to roam the wilds of northeastern Australia.

It’s been described as fast, vicious, fond of rocky country…and apparently capable of climbing trees when chased.

So what is it? A giant feral cat? A surviving marsupial predator? Or something stranger? Whatever it is, we have one piece of advice:

Don’t follow it up the tree.

Rufus Griswold really thought he was going to have the last word on Edgar Allan Poe. Instead, his vicious obituary and subsequent smear campaign helped turn Poe into one of the most enduring figures in American literature.
