I turn children’s artwork into modern mixed media collages and teach parents how to create their own through a step by step course.

Kids stop making art around age 10. There’s actually a name for it: the “dawning realism” stage. Kids hit a point where they want their drawings to look real, and if their pencil can’t match what’s in their head, they decide they’re “bad at art” and they stop.

Most parents know the kid art dilemma. Hundreds of drawings saved in storage. How do I declutter? What do I actually do with all of this? How do I preserve it without losing it?

The Heirloom Collage Method teaches you how to take your child’s artwork and turn it into one meaningful piece you’ll display and keep forever. No art experience needed. Self-paced. Done in a long weekend.

Over 85 million people have watched me do this. Now you can learn it yourself.

It’s always messages like these that put everything in perspective for me.

Parents and kids letting go of their family homes. Parents figuring out what to do with 20 years of saved kid art. Families grieving really painful, traumatic losses. Moms wanting to feel their children close to them after they’ve left for college. And, of course, all the wishes to preserve our kids’ creative confidence before they grow out of it.

It’s all here, it’s all so meaningful, and I’m so grateful that my journey as a person and artist is allowing me to be a small part in the lives of so many.

Want to get on my 2027 commission list? Fill out an inquiry form on my commissions page if you’d like to receive info. I’ll be officially opening up in July.

You’ll learn how to:

✂️ Sort + Curate
✂️ Compose + Guide
✂️ Layer + Glue
✂️ Seal + Finish

60 minutes to learn. One weekend to make it. A lifetime to keep it.

One video changed everything.

I make collages out of kids’ artwork. I went viral, and the response from people all over the world has been overwhelming (in the best way).

I do two things now: I teach a course so you can make your own Heirloom Collage, and I take commissions for families who want one made for them.

Commissions open July 1st for 2027.

3 things to know when you’re making a collage from your kids’ art (taken from an artist who has made hundreds of these heirlooms professionally.)

1. Not all materials are created equal. Using the right adhesive and varnish matters, and so does the application. Wrong products or wrong technique can cause smears, bubbles, and tears in your precious papers.

2. Lay everything out before you commit to anything. There are a lot of moving parts. Play with the composition, try different arrangements, and live with it before you glue a single thing down.

3. You don’t need to consider yourself an artist. Honestly, some of the most “uncreative” people have made the most beautiful pieces. You don’t need an art degree, you just need a method.

I teach my full process in the Heirloom Collage Method, a step-by-step course built from hundreds of professional commissions.

As always I’m here to remind that kid art is worth paying attention to. A few reminders:

1. Expressing yourself through art is important at any age. 🖌️
2. When something feels meaningful, it usually is. ✨
3. Take this as a sign to look more closely the next time your kid creates something. 🎨

I can’t believe my job is to uplift children’s art and spread creative joy. 🌈 I experience many full circle moments with my own children, like this one. I never turn down the opportunity to make more art out of art. We hope you enjoy “The Seed”.

Special shout out to Finn and Theo for their incredible character drawing skills!

Hi, I'm Shana (like 🍌). I’ve been a professional artist for a decade.

I've done the work to build my craft.

Figure drawing.
Abstract painting.
Mixed media.
Installations.

I've studied what lasts and what doesn't.

I’ve learned how to take raw materials and turn them into something with intention.

All along I knew my experience would lead me somewhere specific…

Turns out it lead me to my always growing kids' art bin 😧

Always growing because I felt like I couldn’t throw any of it away…

Unwilling to continue keeping it stored away, everything I'd learned as an artist myself clicked into place.

I chose to treat their pieces like the serious artwork they are.

It’s the most honest, unfiltered, joyful art I have ever seen 🌈

They also deserved a process built around them for other parents feeling this way.

A real method, not a guess.

So I built one.
Refined it.

And now I’ve guided over 1,500 parents who had the same pile and no idea where to start.

Now you don’t have to figure it out as you go.

You can follow my process from start to finish.

You can keep their art *and* live with it.

That's the Heirloom Collage Method.

7️⃣ modules, 1️⃣ hour of video, guiding you to create your own cohesive, meaningful piece.
