Shamrock The Block Richmond's own St. Patrick's Day Celebration! The OFFICIAL start to outdoor festival season in the RVA! This is our cure for “Cabin Fever” in Richmond.

Shamrock The Block is a FREE street festival in its 17th year - located on Leigh Street (between Bowtie Cinemas and the Commanders Training Facility in Richmond, VA. Not only is this the first outdoor festival of the season, but attendance has grown to over 20,000.

Much fun was had by ALL who was a part of the 20th Annual Shamrock The Block this past Saturday in Scott’s Addition on Leigh Street. Thanks to everyone who had a hand in bringing this event together. Our sponsors, our bands, our volunteers, RMC, police, workers, sound and stage…THANK YOU SO MUCH!! And now…we begin planning our 21st birthday party! See you in 2027 when we are finally legal. 🎂🥳☘️

☘️🥳🎂The beer trucks have arrived, people are starting to come in, the DJs are getting things ready to jam all day and the bands are finishing sound checks. Shamrock The Block celebrates 20 YEARS OF ROCKING BLOCKS IN THE RVA today noon-6pm on Leigh Street at Midtown Green!! We have plenty of ticket areas, plenty of BEER TRUCKS, plenty of bathrooms, and a full day of live music, food, kids area and more! Come out and enjoy the fun!!!

20 years ago, Shamrock The Block - presented by Smiley's Bloody Mary - started out as just a "block party" in Shockoe Bottom. 20 years later, it has become a Richmond Tradition no matter the street we rock it on!
Come celebrate 20 YEARS OF ROCKING BLOCKS IN THE RVA TODAY starting at noon in Scott's Addition on Leigh Street next to Midtown Green. IT'S FREE ADMISSION and we have something for everyone:

☘🍹🍻Cheers to SHAMROCK THE BLOCK WEEKEND!!
We celebrate 20 YEARS OF ROCKING BLOCKS IN THE RVA tomorrow starting at noon in Scott's Addition (Leigh Street at Midtown Green). We have a full day of live music, food, a DJ Party Zone, Kids Area, and of course...those tasty beverages to keep the day going.
🍻We must thank our partner since day 1 - Brown Distributing- Richmond, VA. They will be bringing a big line-up of brews to the party tomorrow with multiple areas for you to get them.
And, we are bringing in one of the biggest bar areas around for the celebration featuring cocktails from our presenting sponsor, Smiley's Bloody Mary, along with tasty treats from Tito's Handmade Vodka and Jack Daniel's.
Drink Tickets are $9 with tickets sold until 5pm. Last pour is 5:30pm and all sales are final!
We have DOUBLE THE BEER TRUCKS, DOUBLE THE BATHROOMS and DOUBLE THE TICKET SELLING STATIONS for tomorrow's celebration.

Ready for SHAMROCK WEEKEND in the RVA?? Bring everything you got to the biggest party of the weekend - the 20th Annual Shamrock The Block - presented by Smiley's Bloody Mary!
We will have something happening at all points of Leigh Street this Saturday starting at noon. On one end we will have Live Music on the Main Stage presented by Kelly Wilson Pardue | Buy and Sell with Kell | One South Realty featuring:
🎸12pm-12:30pm: Billy Mac Band
🎵12:45pm - 2:15pm: Mashup & Cozy Condition
🎧2:30pm - 3:30pm: Hess
🎤3:45pm - 5:45pm: Be Kind & Rewind
And then on the other end, we will have the DJ PARTY ZONE - presented by Clear Water Capital. The PARTY ZONE starts at noon and will feature:

The year was 2008. Our third year with our little "block party" in Shockoe Bottom at the 17th Street Farmers Market. We had a full day of fun on the streets and had live music throughout the day from The Georgia Satellites. Check out the poster from that year.
📻Note the radio stations no longer in existence: Mix 103.7, 96.5 The Planet and Y101! Plus, Toad's Place made the poster! Remember those days??
